Roaming the Retro Wildlands
"The Retro Wildlands was born when Episode One went live on July 21st, 2022. I talked to my wife and friends about taking my favorite hobby and starting a podcast for quite some time. Eventually, my wife got sick of me just talking about and dreaming about what it could be. After gifting me a starter podcast equipment kit, I decided it was time to just do it. I wanted to share my thoughts and experiences with the video games I loved and build something I could be proud of.
After a few episodes, I wanted to do more then just talk into a microphone. I wanted people to feel what I felt when I played or even talked about games. I wanted people to feel immersed, excited, but most of all... Nostalgic. I started adding game music and sound and using it as a way to pull people into the gaming experience, almost like we were sitting on the couch together and you were playing through the game itself. It allowed listeners to relive their favorite games or discover new ones, all while I still shared my own thoughts and opinions.
I invite you to join our expedition as I explore new to me retro video games or revisit some of my old favorites. The campfire is warm, the drink cooler is well stocked and there's so many stories to share as we dive deep into some amazing experiences!" - Nomad
