For the first time ever, I’m taking our gaming expedition into the movie theater, and there was really only one franchise that could convince me to make the trip: Resident Evil.
In this episode, I share my thoughts on Zach Cregger’s 2026 Resident Evil, a movie that takes a very different approach from previous adaptations. Rather than recreating one of the games, Cregger tries to capture something much harder to put on screen: the feeling of playing Resident Evil.
I ask the question I kept coming back to after leaving the theater: Can a movie really capture what makes Resident Evil feel like Resident Evil? Take a seat by the campfire with me and I'll tell you my thoughts.
